What you need for the Tirana Airport Bus:
- 4 Euro/Dollars or 400 Lek (We recommend having Lek on hand, but some drivers may accept Euro or card.)
- Buses run each hour
- 4 minute walk from the drop-off point to the Airport Entrance
Looking for the Airport -> Tirana bus?
The bus leaves from the center, approximately at this location, and looks like the picture above:

The buses run from the Airport to Tirana, and from Tirana to the Airport every hour for 24 hours. (So 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, etc.) Click here for the official time table.
The bus looks like this, look for the Airport sign in the windshield. Sometimes it can be a sprinter van, rather than a full size bus.

During non peak hours the trip takes 30 minutes. With traffic, the trip can quickly take longer. If you leave during rush hour, be prepared for the trip to take significantly longer.
If you’re in a rush, a taxi from Tirana City Center typically costs from 13-30 Euro. For Taxis, you can message them on WhatsApp. From personal experience, we recommend BlueTaxi: +355 67 444 4444 or Grand Taxi: +355 69 502 2222. You can text the number and confirm pricing to your destination prior to booking. As of June 2024, Grand Taxi was charging 1000 Lek from the Tirana City Center to TIA Airport.
The driver will typically be near the bus and will show you where to load your luggage (in the back), and can confirm the bus is going to the airport. Depending on the driver, they will take your payment before boarding, and others may collect it en route, or after arrival at Rinas Airport. (TIA)
When you get to the airport, walk past all of the car rental company booths through the parking lot. You’ll see the airport in the distance and be able to check in.
