Rinas Airport (TIA) to Tirana – 2024 Bus Guide

What you need for the Tirana Airport Bus:

  • 4 Euro/Dollars or 400 Lek (We recommend having Lek on hand, but some drivers will likely accept Euro or card.)
  • Buses run each hour
  • 5 minute walk from Airport exit

The buses run from the Airport to Tirana, and from Tirana to the Airport every hour for 24 hours. (So 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, etc.) Click here for the official time table.

During non peak hours the trip takes 30 minutes. With traffic, the trip can quickly take longer.

Comparatively, a taxi typically costs from 13-30 Euro. For Taxis, you can message them on WhatsApp. From personal experience, we recommend BlueTaxi: +355 67 444 4444 or Grand Taxi: +355 69 502 2222. You can text the number and confirm pricing to your destination prior to booking. As of June 2024, Grand Taxi was charging 1000 Lek from the Airport to City Centre.

When you exit the airport, walk past all of the car rental company booths through the parking lot. You will see a few buses parked at the end of the parking lot, and a sprinter van with ‘Tirana’ in the window. This is your bus.

The driver will typically be near the bus and will show you where to load your luggage (in the back), and can confirm the bus is going to Tirana.
